Terms of Service

Use of this site

You must be 18 or older to place an order with YMX and to enter into a contract with us. Our performance bikes can be ridden by younger riders (see our Age Disclaimer), but the purchasing customer must be an adult. Product imagery and copy are illustrative; specifications may change with manufacturer revisions.

Intended use and road legality

Performance electric bikes sold by YMX are, in standard configuration, off-road vehicles for use on private land with the landowner's permission only — they are not supplied road-registered, insured or fitted with number plates. In the UK, riding one on a public road, pavement, cycle path or bridleway without separate road-legal registration, insurance and (after 3 years) an MOT is a criminal offence that can result in the bike being seized and the rider prosecuted. Requirements vary by country; it is the buyer's responsibility to check and comply with local law before riding anywhere other than private land.

Liability

Riding involves risk of serious injury. Always wear appropriate protective equipment and never ride on public roads or land without permission. YMX is not liable for misuse, unauthorised modification, or riding contrary to local law — but nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for defective products under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or excludes any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. See our Refund Policy for how these apply in practice.

Trademarks and independence

YMX is an independent specialist retailer of genuine Sur-Ron, Talaria and E Ride Pro products. We operate independently of the manufacturers named on this site and are not affiliated with or authorised by them; brand and model names are used only to identify the genuine products we sell and remain the trademarks of their respective owners. Products sold by YMX are covered by the YMX store warranty described in our policies, rather than a manufacturer warranty arranged through us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
